Overview
Due to an upturn in orders for our Client, one of the UK’s largest sub contract suppliers in Leicester, LE2, are looking to recruit and experienced Quality Inspectors to join the production on a rotating shift. Afternoon 2.00 – 10.00 p.m. Night shift 10.00 – 6.00 a.m. both shifts attract a shift premium Quality Inspector Responsibilities: Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials Approve production-process by confirming specifications; by way of measurement tests and communicating required adjustments to production supervisors Approve finished products by confirming specifications; conducting measurement tests; returning products for re-work and confirming re-work. Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database Keep measurement equipment operational by following operating instructions and requesting repairs Comply with legal regulations to maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to Company QC and H&S standards Update Quality knowledge by participating in continuous development opportunities Quality Inspector Requirements: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role CMM knowledge is essential, including programming (preferably Cosmos) Calibration PPAP / ISIR/ FAIR Able to read customer drawings and understands the importance of accurate measurements Inspection experience gained in a fast moving high precision environment: aerospace, precision engineering or automotive using Micrometers, Veniers and Height Gauges Weld inspection beneficial Experience working to ISO9001 CNC Engineering background advantageous Quality Inspector Benefits: Genuine career progression 33 days Holiday, including bank holidays Pension Scheme Life Insurance after qualifying period In return, you will benefit from: Competitive hourly salary Company Pension (upon successful completion of probation period) 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays Christmas shutdown Jib Crane / Hand Truck / PPT training will be given if required Manual handling training Company provides free drinks weekly
