Faculty / Directorate The Department of Academic Quality, within the Student and Academic Services directorate, leads centrally on quality management, which is implemented in partnership with all faculties and key directorates. The university’s quality processes are under-pinned by a risk-based approach with focus on enhancing the student experience and are transparent, fair and proportionate. Role An exciting role has arisen for a Quality Assurance Manager to manage the internal quality assurance processes and arrangements for Apprenticeships. What will you be doing? As a Quality Assurance Manager; you will manage the internal quality assurance and enhancement of the University’s apprenticeship provision, be responsible for the Ofsted Self-Assessment Report (SAR), develop and implement internal systems and processes to ensure positive inspection outcomes and develop and manage a programme of internal quality audits and mock inspections. The Quality Assurance Manager will also have a pivotal role working closely with the Central Apprenticeships Team and will have a creative element to the role, implementing a programme of Training and Development relating to the roles areas of responsibility with a focus on continuous improvement. Ideal Candidate As this role will entail managing documents and programmes, which include high level detail, the ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communications, be highly motivated, able to use your own initiative and be highly organised. As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will have experience of working with Higher and Degree Apprenticeships and provision subject to Ofsted inspection. You will have a thorough understanding of the external quality assurance requirements for apprenticeships and the ability to apply these effectively to internal processes.
