Quality Assurance Technician
Overview
Our engineering department currently has an immediate opening for a Quality Assurance Technician. The Quality Assurance Technician will work under the ISO: 9001 Quality Programme and will be responsible for the following: Working with the design engineer to oversee product development to identify deviations from quality standards Inspecting final output reports and comparing properties to requirements (e.g EN 10204 Cert 3.1 etc) Basic understanding of engineering drawings Experience with CMM equipment would be advantage but not essential Keeping accurate documentation and performing statistical analysis (Supplier KPI) Control of non-conformance register and implement corrective actions after consulting with colleagues Monitoring of the gauges register and ensuring calibration of equipment This position will suit an individual with previous experience of ISO: 9001 with the ability to maintain it to UKAS level. The individual will also follow NovaCast’s company policies regarding international trade which may not be required under the current ISO: 9001. The successful candidate will report directly to the Design Engineer and collaborate with design/ purchasing teams, as well as liaising with suppliers and clients. Knowledge of castings would be an advantage not essential. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a friendly environment with a team that is dedicated and passionate about craftsmanship.
