Opportunity We have an opportunity for a Senior Property Loss Adjuster, ideally to cover the geographical area around the north of Greater London, and/or possibly further North into the Midlands. We are also open to accommodating other arrangements dependent upon the individual’s current location and so we would welcome applications from candidates with the desired skills, outside of these areas also. The role will, therefore, likely be attached to either our London or Birmingham office. Although the role will be attached to either of these offices, we operate flexible working which can entail homeworking as well as office based. This is a technical role with no operational or management responsibilities, aside from supporting the team as appropriate. Responsibilities This role is for a Senior Property Loss Adjuster to investigate, manage and report on a caseload of Property claims. The type of caseload shall vary according to business needs, but current work is predominantly “cradle to grave” requiring management of all aspects of claims, including liaising with clients/brokers/policyholders, policy liability investigations and quantum negotiations including management of contractors and suppliers. This is a fee earning role with associated targets. The type of work is highly varied, including commercial property, structural warranty, subsidence and household across a range of different risks. The type of work within a caseload can, to a degree, be tailored to suit the experience of the successful candidate. Person Specification We are looking for an experienced individual with a proven track record of Property Loss Adjusting. Ideally, we are seeking someone with surveying experience, including experience of structural warranty and subsidence claims, but this is not essential. Professional Insurance / Loss Adjusting / Surveying qualifications are desirable, but not essential. The key skill we are looking for is someone who is highly motivated to take on all tasks to ensure the success of our business.
