They work with all of the major retailers in the UK and are now looking to add a quality manager to their incredible manufacturing team The role of quality manager is key, it is the go to person for the technical manager to drive through changes and improvements across the site down to the shop floor. The purpose of this role is to work in partnership with the customer technical team, suppliers and other 3rd party technical/quality teams. Your responsibilities as quality manager include, but are not limited to: Ensure customer specifications are adhered to Manage Quality team Manage the QC trainer, ensuring a robust training plan for the whole QC team. Build and maintain a working relationship with service provider management team and staff. Provide reports and quality updates to internal and external customers teams Understand and observe health and safety rules, be aware of the safety for yourself and others to promote a safe working environment. To maintain the continuous implementation of the Quality Assurance System, and where appropriate, to identify further improvements or preventative measures to the Quality Assurance System Be trained to Level 3 HACCP and is a member of the HACCP team and may also be required to lead the site HACCP team Trained in auditing principles and be a member of the site auditing team. Review and update Procedures, Documents, Policies and Specifications including Laboratory Standard Methods and Quality documents on a regular basis. Maintain and administer Incident Management System ensuring all are investigated to root cause and closed out sufficiently. To co-ordinate shelf life trials, and additional testing for contaminant monitoring programmes. To organising any non-routine testing as requested by Technical Manager, sales team or customers as requested Organise regular service intervals for all equipment used by the quality team. Ensure all calibrations are kept within specification for all testing equipment.
