Job description: A leading Pharmaceutical company that transform health care are looking for an Accounting Manager to support the monthly financial close, inventory and accrual areas. Prepare standard costing for multiple products, coordinate the budgeting process as well as analyse information for use in statutory reporting. Responsibilities: Ensure manufacturer is observing shipping/receiving cut-off procedures Investigate raw material consumption variances Prepare spend and analysis of budget versus actual Prepare month-end account reconciliations for inventory and accrual accounts Review contracts and accurate coding of purchase requisitions Serve as local point of contact for the US Finance team, assisting with pre-paid expenses, cash, duty, taxes, VAT and other general accounting areas. Perform year-end inventory count at third party manufacturing sites Assist with streamlining systems to better capture inventory data Prepare income statement analytics for cost of goods sold Participate in annual audit an ensure accounting policies, practices and procedures are consistent with statutory, GAAP and SEC requirements Although you will be part of a small team here in the UK, this is a stand-alone finance role that is reporting into the US. Someone that is comfortable working in this start-up environment would be ideal. Qualifications: 5 years relevant Management Accounting experience Qualified Accountant ACA, CIMA OR ACCA Manufacturing/Pharmaceuticals is a plus Knowledge of internal accounting controls, preparing and implementing accounting procedures Current knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP, general accounting, cost accounting If you are open to a discussion then I would love to hear from you.
