Overview
Staff Solutions UK Ltd is currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 Yard Shunter on behalf of our client based in Waltham Abbey & Broxbourne. The hours of work will be approximately 8pm – 5am, Wednesday – Sunday (5 nights in total). If you have enough working hours you may sometimes be asked to work an additional shift. You will need to be flexible as the hours of work could change. This position is offered as a Shunter but is so much more than just shunting The successful candidate will also need to act as a yard supervisor and will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicles coming in are directed to the correct bay. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all deliveries coming in have the correct paperwork. As well as shunting you will also be required to make one delivery each night to another site located around the M25. Excellent communication skills will be required for this role as a large part of the role will speaking on the radio and liaising with other shunters & drivers. We can provide a full job description for suitable candidates. This work is offered on a Temporary ongoing basis. The rate of pay will be £15.00 per hour. To be considered for the above you will need the following: A valid Class 1 licence with no more than 6 points that you have held for at least 1 year. Previous Shunter experience A digital Tacho. CPC/Driver Qualification Card Recent UK driving experience Be available to work nights 2 Checkable references. Excellent communication skills. Be honest & 100% Reliable. Safety Boots.
