Aecom is currently searching for a Buried Utility Surveyor to join a large engineering community in Nottingham. The Role: The role is for a buried utility surveyor capable of undertaking buried utility surveys and utility clearance to PAS128 standards including preparation of reports and drawings. This is a varied position which includes both office and site work, working within the Geophysics team at AECOM. Undertake system commissioning and configuration, data processing Operate as both a Lead and support engineer for site based activities in the utility detection field You will be expected to be fully conversant with PAS128 and understands and implements the appropriate standards for the discipline Prepare the technical deliverables/reports under the instruction of, or as the Project Technical Lead Supports Operations with preparation of H&S paperwork As the Utility Surveyor you will be responsible for undertaking on site surveys and data interpretation using GPR, EML and topographical survey techniques to trace and map utilities in a broad range of survey environments. This role includes the expectation of working during unsocial hours including nights and weekends (with appropriate paid uplifts). Role also includes support for other associated survey teams where required. Minimum Requirements Degree or appropriate surveying qualification. Familiarity with PAS128 standards & experience of undertaking buried utility surveys to those standards Full driving license Preferred qualification NVQ in utility surveying
