Overview
Job Description: A procurement consultancy firm are looking for a Tactical buyer to join the team, this role is both office and home based. This role will be responsible for client facing procurement projects, depending on your level of experience will dictate the scope of the role. You must have the confidence to make sound recommendations to the client and must be fully experienced with running a tender. This role will visit client sites and you will have a lot of client interaction. Activities of the role include spend data analysis, supplier search/qualifications, supplier negotiation, bid analysis and formal recommendations. You must have strong communication and negotiation skills, with an understanding of procurement/sourcing processes and operations. If you are able to speak another language this would be an advantage but is by no means essential.
