Real-Time Embedded Software Engineer - Cambridge A Life-Science company, based in Cambridgeshire, are currently looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to work on real-time software for embedded control systems. The technologies you will work on will range from new life-science instrumentation through to robotics projects. All the projects are complex and being able to apply your skills to the embedded software aspects, you will be vital in the successful development of new life-science technologies. This company focus on staying at the forefront of technology and due to this, they will offer training on any new embedded software developments in the world to make sure you can always work on the most complex projects. You will need to have worked as an Embedded Software Engineer on complex technologies previously, ideally this work will have been in industry. Most people who apply for this type of role hold a relevant degree, however industry experience is more important. If your experience has been during a PhD and post-doc employment, we may still consider your application but unfortunately this will not be suitable for someone just finishing their degree. Apart from continual training and working on the latest technologies, you will also be rewarded with an excellent starting salary, bonus and benefits package. Your embedded control systems work will ideally have been using C or C++, but we may consider other software languages if you have a track record of learning new software languages. Due to the scientific nature of the work, people within this company are able to apply physics and math principals to engineering and embedded software development projects.
