Overview
First of its kind Green Energy project in the UK. Flexible & remote working / interviews. R&D time with scope to pick up new & emerging tech. Full-Stack Developer needed for a unique Energy company in Gloucester. They are developing first-of-its-kind energy storage systems in the UK and are looking for a developer who can play a leading role in how their applications are built. The company have already taken the equivalent of c200,000 cars off the road through their innovative storage solutions and with over £100 million in funding they're looking to invest heavily in new power stations over the next couple of years to be the clear market leaders in this exciting industry. What skills you'll need Proven background in Python development using Django. Significant knowledge of JavaScript and at least one modern library. Understanding of database design and cloud technology (preferably AWS). Experience with responsive websites and API development. Background in engineering or physical sciences would be preferred though not essential. An interest/passion renewable energy and sustainable technology. What you'll be doing Working in a small agile team your role will be broad and varied. You’ll play a key part in ensuring the quality of products through code reviewing and regular training. The core part of the role will be spent developing real-time energy monitoring applications from inception through build to operation and working on their innovative energy trading platform. They’ll also involve you in gathering and analysing project and customer requirements alongside the project management and engineering team. They need someone who can bridge the gap between their real-time back-end system and the web user interface, with good scope to integrate new & emerging tech into their wider stack.
