Overview

WANTED A Director of Financial Protection with demonstrable experience within finance risk to join a long established, much respected regulatory / membership organisation based in the heart of central London. Salary c £90K pa plus benefits Located: c London Permanent position The Role: - The successful candidate will have experience demonstrable experience working within Financial Risk and will be responsible for developing, leading and managing the organisation’s financial protection strategy. We are looking for a Director of Financial Protection to lead, motivate and manage the Financial Protection team and act as company ambassador. Experience:- - Experience in analysing complex information, providing relevant insights and devising appropriate risk structures and strategies. - Experience in financial risk management, guarantees and/or insurance surety is essential for this role. - Exposure to or experience of Captive Insurance/Protected Cell Company (PCC) insurance and reinsurance structures. - Experience in establishing systems that ensure colleagues have appropriate information. - Experience in developing solutions and options for Members, which are regulatory compliant. - Experience in defining and monitoring the results and success of a programme. - A tactful, considered, and professional approach to dealing with colleagues and stakeholders. - Ability to understand the needs of stakeholders, listening and adapting to requirements. - Professional in manner, natural dipolmat and attitude with a passion for service excellence. Skills - Strong analytical skills – an eye for detail – with a focus on the bigger picture of risk management. - Strong people management skills and experience of motivating, coaching and developing staff Understanding of and experience in budget management. - Strong senior stakeholder engagement skills. - Strong presentational skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills – the ability to communicate and explain financial protection concepts to the lay Member, finance professionals, Government stakeholders, consumer groups and at industry conferences, events and conventions. - Ability to judge and prioritise different engagement approaches.
