Overview
Our client a large national organisation are looking to recruit a Payroll Administrator with 2 years’ experience processing payrolls, to be based at thier Croydon Office. Payroll Administrator's b enefits include: 25 days holiday bank holidays Company pension scheme Flexi time up to 1.5 days a month, this is at management discretion and depends on workload etc. 37 hours a week Company season Ticket loans Free teas and coffee Employee Assistance scheme, free flu jabs Massage, Health Assessments, Quiz nights, Xmas Party, Award Parties, Training Courses There is an annual Pay review in June each year, but it’s not a guaranteed pay increase Payroll Administrator's k ey tasks & responsibilities To process payroll data received from Private Clients, relating to starters, leavers, pay reviews, pay adjustments (approx. 100 clients between the team) To process any changes to payroll that may arise out of queries, e.g. overpayments and underpayments Able to calculate and understand occupational and statutory sick, maternity and paternity pay To answer queries over the telephone & via email promptly and effectively To deliver the required payroll outputs against the monthly payroll calendar Manage & prioritise own payroll delegated work To meet tight deadlines regarding deadline dates Ensure that all targets for service delivery are met and where possible exceeded To check data for self and colleagues work To liaise closely with other parts of the business, particularly implementation, payroll support team & Senior Payroll Administrators Adherence and maintenance of procedure manuals & checklists Solid all-round payroll knowledge Must be highly organised and be able multitask as working on multiple payrolls per month Excel Skills are required. Star Payroll Professional or SAFE EMS preferable but not essential Bureau/Accountancy Background would be an advantage (processing multiple payrolls) Adhere to company’s Health & Safety and Environmental policies and procedures and all relevant statutory requirements
