The Payroll Manager oversees a Payroll Analyst and ensures development, administration and monitoring of payroll processes for an assigned segment of the company. What you will do * Correspond with our outsourced payroll management companies: * Monthly, other periodic and special payroll processing * Submitting changes and analysing registers * Assist where needed on Journal entry questions or assist set up for new payrolls * Manage year end activities where needed * Interpret pay policies (e.g. vacation, disability, workers compensation, withholding exemptions) and ensure appropriate amounts and deductions are calculated and applied correctly * Research payroll issues and recommend resolution strategies that reflect historical precedent, contractual obligations, company philosophy, regulatory requirements, policy and other considerations * Engage with management to develop and ensure implementation of an effective, fully accurate and legally compliant payroll strategy * Monitor payroll practices to ensure overall effectiveness, cost containment and policy and regulatory compliance * Determine and maintain currency with payroll trends, legislated requirements and programs * Serve as liaison with third-party providers to ensure payroll processing reflects company-specific pay policies * Advise management on potential payroll issues associated with organisation change, reorganisation and/or M&A activity What you will bring * Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills * Strong technical understanding of payroll time and attendance as well as benefits interfaces * Understanding of payroll systems, including Celergo ADP, Vistra and Oracle Fusion * Comprehensive understanding of local payroll and related laws and regulations * Understanding of International payrolls in EMEA and APAC region * Ability to: * Perform daily high-volume payroll functions within established time frames and with a high degree of accuracy * Juggle competing priorities * Integrate trends, data and information into forecasts, plans, models and recommendations What is required for application Required * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Human Resources, business or similar discipline Preferred * Prior leadership experience - formally or informally * Certified Payroll Professional designation (FPC or CPP) What is in it for you In addition to providing exciting work, career advancement opportunities, and a collaborative work environment, Vonage provides competitive pay and benefits including unlimited discretionary time off and tuition reimbursement.
