Where will you be working: ION is looking for smart and ambitious candidate to lead our Group Payroll function based in London. What will you be doing: The Payroll function is a key department within the finance function for ION Group and provides all aspects of Payroll processing and reconciliation. The principles and smooth running of this function is fundamental to the group. Through rigorous, collaborative and long term thinking the Payroll function helps achieve the groups ambitious objectives. As a key senior member of the Group Payroll team within finance, you will be handed responsibility for some vital tasks for the organisation, including: Full oversight of global payroll operations and governance Providing insight and analysis to stakeholders within the business. Drive the transformation and modernization of the group payroll function by leveraging technology to automate processes and reporting. Responsible for the year end external audit of the payroll functions Work closely with financial controllers to develop detailed variance analysis. Responsible for planning and execution of payroll and payroll back office consolidation to continue to streamline the payroll operations. We need more than people that are good with numbers. In your spare time, we need you to evangelize ION's way of doing things among our new colleagues as we continue to consolidate in the industry. About you: The Group Payroll role requires a blend of Global payroll processing and Accounting, Presentation skills, Data Management and Technological know-how. Ability to work independently, while also being a team player. Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, while ensuring tasks are completed on time in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Strong attention to detail and good administrative skills but the ability to take a strategic view. Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively to both internal and external stakeholders. For this role some previous experience would be essential, including; previous involvement in complex payroll group function Strong technically in payroll and international payrolls Experience of post-merger integration of acquired entities Experience of working in multinational environment Experience of ADP Streamline, NetSuite or similar ERP and/or Power BI Minimum qualifications: Payroll Management Degree or equivalent through experience 5 + years PQE 1.1 or 2.1 degree in any field preferred
