Overview

A Japanese manufacturer is currently recruiting a Japanese-speaking Development Support Co-ordinator EMEA R&D at their office near Liverpool. Type: Permanent, full-time Working hours : Mon-Thurs 7.30am to 4.30pm, Friday 7.30am - 12.20pm Salary: £19K depending on experience, plus good benefits START: ASAP Location: near Liverpool Responsibilities Facilitator R&D Meetings: Administration regarding Co-ordination of specific R&D Meetings as requested Pre-Booking of Local facilities if needed including suppliers, caterers, hotels etc Management of In-Out schedule for meeting attendees Securing Hotel reservations for non-UK participants Organising travel to and from meeting venue to hotels and restaurants 2. : Monthly Reports for Japan & MSC (Management Strategy Committee) Translation of report content Submission of monthly reports to Japan & MSC 3. Supporting EMEA R&D Centre Director/ Runcorn Branch Manager: Translation of presentation materials and emails Administration of development requests to Japan Updating bulletin boards for EMEA R&D related information Other miscellaneous tasks as required 4. Technical Translation: Translation of technical reports, test methods, presentations, machine manuals and emails etc for R&D engineers Occasional interpretation during meetings 5. Japanese Expatriates Support Team co-ordinator: Contact support person for Ex-Pat Support Team Co-ordinator for tasks and duties in respect to support team members Relocation support for R&D Japanese expatriates as required Other miscellaneous tasks including language support as required 6. General Administration for EMEA R&D General miscellaneous administration tasks as required Purchasing office consumables Managing petty cash Invoice control processing prior to forwarding to London Accounts Organizing accommodation for visitors as needed Occasional travel arrangement for staff and visitors 7. Training & development Undertake training and instruction to a pre-arranged Training Schedule for all the duties associated with development Support Co-ordinator within a given Timeframe Be proactive in undertaking any training required to advance knowledge to bring benefit to the role Learn and understand Machinery & Technical Terminology for Technical Translation Experience / Qualifications Required - Fluent spoken/ written Japanese and English to Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 1" - English written and spoken to native level - Experience administration role supporting senior figures within organization - Ability to translate technical materials - advantageous but not essential - Basic accounts knowledge/ability to understand and analyse basic financial data -not essential - Upper intermediate/advanced Microsoft Office skills.
