Job description The Regional Delivery Accommodation (RDA) Housing Estate Officer is accountable for ensuring their team adhere and conform with all agreed DIO TLB processes and operating procedures, and particularly those which are detailed under the key infrastructure process for: managing the delivery of the housing service within a dedicated geographical area of responsibility, in accordance with Departmental policy and within the appropriate delegations. This is achieved via a team of dedicated housing delivery staff and with the appropriate resources for which the post holder is responsible. >u>Post Locations DIO, Donnington, Telford, TF2 8JT Responsibilities 1. Leadership & Management of Regional Delivery Accommodation: • Demonstrate a personal commitment to DIO Guiding Principals • Ensure compliance with mandatory requirements i.e. Mandatory training • Promote strong working relationships both within the team, with other teams across the MoD and with Industry Partners 2. Contract Management: • Support the area Housing Estate Manager (HEM) in carrying out their Service Manager’s Representative duties and responsibilities for the NHP contract and other housing contracts within the area of responsibility in accordance with (iaw) delegations, departmental policy, guidelines and instruction • Support the authorisation of Time Reliefs • Attend and support handovers and directed • Carry out risk-based checks as directed of the contracted activities iaw delegations, departmental policy, guidelines and instructions • Carry out assurance checks and contribute to NHP Audits as directed by the HEM • Support RDA colleagues with Contract Management activities within the housing area • Carry out any contract management duties (as delegated) in support of non-NHP SFA and for SSFA • Undertake Total Patch Management within area of responsibility 3. Occupant Management: • Support the resolution of area level 2 occupant complaints • Carry out the occupant management of non NHP SFA and SSFA 4. Stakeholder Management: • Support Parliamentary Business and FOI requests and respond within departmental guidelines/timescales • Attend contractor and stakeholder activities as required supporting a collaborative environment. 5. Health and Safety: • Responsible for H&S issues within designated area including inspections 6. Additional Works: • Responsible for requesting, monitoring and assuring the delivery of Additional Work Services within area of responsibility • Responsible for reporting monthly or as requested current status of all tasks liaising with Industry partner as required. • Supporting the HQ Projects teams through the monitoring and supporting of Major Project Programme for SFA within area of responsibility. The successful candidate will have previous skills/experience in the delivery of Accommodation/ Housing or be able to demonstrate accountability for: • Operating Procedures • Leadership & Management • Contract Management • Occupant Management • Stakeholder Management Travel Requirements Travel throughout the Central Region and UK will be required, including overnight stays. The successful candidate will be part of a small team responsible for areas up to 3 hours’ drive from their base in Donnington and with the potential to cover at St Athan. The Married Quarters which will be managed is 1- 2 hours drive away from the DIO Hub. Public transport will not be an option. A Full UK Driving Licence will be essential.
