Overview

A three-week handover period has been planned with current E.A. Part time - 3 days a week. Salary - £24,000 per annum. Potter Ventures Limited (PVL) is a group holding company focused on investment within the hospitality market and shared interactive space. We are looking for professional, bright, self-motivated, and diligent Executive Assistant to work directly with the founder and CEO of the company. The role is very broad based with a wide-ranging variety of duties. The successful candidate will display: The flexibility to move quickly between tasks and environments A strong work ethic and high level of reliability Excellent English language skills, both written and oral Strong numerical skills The ability and willingness to prioritise and manage their own workload A confident and professional manner The capacity and enthusiasm to learn new skills quickly Typical duties may include but not be limited to: The successful candidate would not be expected to have in depth experience of all of these items, but would be expected to learn new skills rapidly. Accounts Legal Manage expenses, purchase and sales invoices, and company accounts Maintain up to date FA register & Stock Sheet Prepare quarterly VAT returns Maintain accounting software Prepare weekly payment runs Sign off monthly payroll run and prepare for payment Admin and Company Secretarial Adhoc research projects, including Due Diligence on prospective investments. First point of contact for callers, visitors and emails Collating reports, papers for board meetings & subsequently taking minutes Maintaining electronic and paper filing systems Data entry Diary Management; organising meetings and travel General Office Manager duties (ordering sundries, managing cleaners etc) Maintain HR records Draft misc. secretarial forms (for Companies House etc.) Collating KPIs and Information Rights of PVL investments Project Management & Property Management Arrange repair and maintenance of office Arrange repair and maintenance of residential flat Customer, Sales & Software Support Maintain up to date customer & supplier records Manage customer support Support the Business Development Director as needed on purchasing stock, adhoc projects, research etc. Maintain logs on software development and support Software Project Manager as needed. Personal Assistance to C.E.O. Household Collect and sort personal post Help manage household staff Help manage maintenance and housekeeping Help project manage home improvements Running personal errands as directed Essential Skills Required Microsoft Office Suite to an intermediate level - especially Excel, and Word. Experience with Sage software. Education The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree from a good university at 2:1 standard or equivalent. Desirable Any experience in legal or accounting fields would be beneficial, as would direct experience of project management. Any IT based competencies would also be favourable.
