Overview

This is a rare opportunity to join an Award Winning Financial Planning firm who provide financial planning and investment services to high net worth clients with an average portfolio size of £1m. The role is to act as an integrator between the Managing Director and the rest of our friendly team of 18 and to drive the business as per the agreed Business Growth Plan. Leadership Ensure company’s core values are fully embedded in all business activities Act as an integrator between the visionary and the rest of the team to ensure successful business development Validate and prioritiseideas put forward by the Advisory Board to ensure that targets set in the Business Plan are met Document and coordinate the implementation of the Business Plan Chair monthly Leadership and weekly Level 10 meetings Manage and oversee relationships with 3rd party suppliers e.g. landlord, compliance consultants etc to secure optimal service agreements and deals Processes & Procedures Create and review internal service standards, business processes and procedures Ensure all business service activities comply with relevant acts, legal & regulatory requirements and ethical standards Review business policies, processes and procedures in relation to the efficiency of staff performance Oversee the delivery of all general office and business administration, ensuring all legislative and business requirements are met Ensure that all business activities are performed in a timely and efficient manner Ensure that all business activities, processes and procedures result in client satisfaction Human Resources Manage the team and their workload to achieve set business goals Arrange employment of new staff and terminations /resignations of existing staff Create and review organisational structure and roles on an ongoing basis Establish performance objectives and training and development plans for all staff members and review twice per year Coordinate training for all staff as per their career plans Encourage a collaborative approach to work and open and honest communication style Oversee employee benefits Organise team events and wellbeing activities Manage sick leave and holidays Sign off on payroll Compliance & Finance Develop and document accounting policies and procedures for the business Direct general accounting functions Prepare relevant management information, financial statements and forecasts for the business (cashflow forecasts,annual budget, P&L, and balance sheet) Oversee the relationship with accountants and external auditors Create budget and sign off on expenditure Ensure timely and accurate completion of all regulatory returns Ensure that all business activities are in line with the FCA and other regulatory requirements Ensure successful execution of the Annual Compliance Plan as directed by an external consultant Provide annual compliance reports to the Board of Directors Oversee the relationship with external compliance consultants Oversee timely submissions of RMAR returns Ensuretimely renewal of PI cover, relevant insurancepolicies and ICO registration IT Ensure data security and disaster recovery policies are in place and working Oversee all IT services and systems with help of external consultants Manage all IT services and systems with help of external consultants Monitor all IT systems to ensure their optimal usage Keep an up-to-date register of hardware, software and staff passwords Other Ensure that all Health & Safety regulations are met at all times Promote healthy working conditions and wellbeing of all staff
