Quality Control Manager
Overview
A well established manufacturing company based near Wrexham who have operations globally are looking to recruit an individual with a background Quality Control. Reporting directly to the Global Head of Quality Control you will be responsible for supporting all functions within the global Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality departments.This individual will play a vital role in the success of the strategical roadmap across the group. The successful candidate will be a key member of the lean manufacturing programme to be implemented within the Chinese arm of the group. You will have experience in applying quality focused lean initiatives with the expectation that you will play a key role in the delivery of the training and implementation of the Manufacturing System within China. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and implementing quality assurance systems and inspection processes.You will be confident when managing staff within the quality control team and have experience with managing and communicating with suppliers, vendors and the wider global community. This role will support (as required) the global engineering team throughout projects and product launches.This may require travel to global destinations. To be considered for this role you will have a strong background working in the manufacturing industry.You will also have a positive mentality and attitude and be confident in presenting training courses and documentation. You will be expected to take a hands-on approach to new quality issues and work in partnership with the Global Quality Control Manager to process inspection and defective components reducing potential impact on customer deliveries from the US and UK sites. Skills and Experience Knowledge and experience of global certification requirements is essential Previous experience as an SQE would be preferred Leading QA team members on inspection processes and follow up actions Reporting on QA performance and corrective actions Developing and implementing QA processes Data control, data management and reporting Hands on approach to QC Working with the operational team to support lean activities and cost savings within the production environment Attending weekly production meetings with the global manufacturing team Project management skills and experience of New Product Introduction techniques Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma experience preferred but not essential Other Key Aspects Excellent benefits Regular global travel (expected an average of 1 week per calendar month) Educated to degree level preferred but not essential Personal development plan and training courses subject to business needs If you feel you meet the above criteria, please apply today.
