Overview
Technical Manager - Highways vacancy Our client, an engineering, environment and design consultancy, are looking for a Technical Manager to run their Highways team based in Solihull. For this role you would have relevant post graduate qualification highway industry experience with a strong successful record of project delivery in highways design. You would have significant previous experience of providing project governance on transport infrastructure projects. You would also have the ability to gain insight beyond a clients immediate need to identify opportunities that benefit the client through meaningful and productive relationships. Your daily responsibilities will include undertaking highway geometric design, preparing budgets and contributing to design coordination meetings with clients. You would be involved in team management and provide support/supervision to junior members of the team. As a Technical Manager you would: ·Be highly technically competent ·Have a proven ability in the leadership, motivation and development of individuals and teams ·Develop appropriate solutions to solve clients' problems ·Manage relationships with individual client contacts to maximise opportunities across the business whilst providing a high service level on the individual project, resulting in excellent client feedback ·Pro actively market with customers and utilise potential opportunities with new and existing clients to develop the business ·Have a broad perspective to enable the identification of innovative solutions.
