Overview
A Technical Author with experience of creating user manuals and functional design specifications is required for an innovative manufacturer of industrial machine tools. This role covers more than just Technical Authoring and includes elements of FDS (Functional Design Specifications) and some CE Compliance. Extensive experience in all these areas is not essential, however the most important requirement is Technical Authoring and perhaps some FDS experience. Requirements of the Technical Author positions includes: Drafting and creating machinery user and maintenance manuals. Working with existing CAD drawings to support visual aids and instructions. Helping to draft CE compliance reports. Working closely with engineering department. Create FDS (Functional Design Specifications). The suitable candidate for this role of Technical Author will need to possess the following experience: Experienced with writing user/maintenance manuals. CAD Design Experience - Any software. Any knowledge of CE Machinery Directive is highly desirable. Experience with FDS (Functional Design Specifications) is highly desirable. This position is commutable from Warwick, Leamington, Coventry, Solihull, Bromsgrove, Worcester and Birmingham.
