Overview

My client is a unique Industrial engineering business for mechanical and electronics products in the consumer market. They are looking for a Quality Engineer to join their site in London to play a crucial role at managing and improving Parts, Production and Product Quality as part of the internal quality team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing team that are truly valued throughout the business, alongside developing your career The successful candidate for the Quality Engineer role at my client’s site in London will fulfil the following responsibilities – · NCM (Non-Conforming material) Management - leading the Material Review Board (MRB) · Investigation and Root Cause Analysis – Leading A3 and 8D processes alongside CAPA – Lead cross-functional corrective action and/or continuous improvement teams in significant quality activities or programs. Promote the use of preferred techniques for Continuous Improvement such as Lean, Six-Sigma, Poke-Yoke, MSA, and PFMEA · Support the Implementation of the businesses integrated management system (ISO 9001, 45000, 14001) · Support the APQP process. Provide a high standard of documentation of Inspection Results relative to area. In appropriate functional areas, this refers to supporting inspection and test status requirements defined by Regulations, engineering product specifications or Control Plans, Production Part Approval Process PPAP approval or Part Submission Warrant. · Work with Engineering to define process parameters and criteria to ensure Process Capability is effective to meet product and process requirements · Facilitate the escalation of unresolved quality issues · Support the Customer Quality Manager with product Quality and performance data and analysis · Deliver training of quality awareness internally · Conduct benchmarking studies · Produce written reports and provide presentations where necessary To be considered for the Quality Engineer role at my client site in London the candidate must present evidence of the following – · Degree, HNC or equivalent knowledge in similar role in an industrial manufacturing environment · Proven working knowledge of quality and business systems · Proven knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and FMEA · An appreciation of Lean Manufacturing · Knowledge of ISO9001/ISO18001and understanding of ISO14001 · Knowledge of measurement techniques (Including hand equipment and CMM) · Capability to understand and interpret engineering drawings (GD&T) · Proven communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills · Proven understanding of cost and financial impacts Qualifications and Experience Levels: · A track record in a volume manufacturing environment · A proven track record working in a Quality role · Internal Auditor certification and / or Green belt certified will be an advantage
