We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Co-ordinator to join us at our Manchester site. You will be the technical support for our Manchester operations, ensuring required standards of food safety and quality are maintained. The hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm. Main Responsibilities: Active role in the Company HACCP team. Ensure that required standards of food safety are maintained. Maintain Quality System documentation in line with company, customer and third-party requirements. Active member of the Internal Audits Team. Assist with the training of operatives in food safety and quality related procedures and general awareness. Participating in customer and third-party audits. Ensuring laboratory testing is carried out according to quality plans and that results are recorded and communicated appropriately Ensuring laboratory equipment is maintained appropriately; performance checked and calibrated in a timely manner. Review quality data relating to raw materials, in process and finished product on a day to day basis and report variations and trends to the Technical Manager and Site Management team. In return we are looking for: Technical background in a milling, agricultural supply or dry food ingredients is preferred but all food manufacturing will be considered as training will be provided. Good communication, both verbal and written for dealing with colleagues, customers and suppliers. Knowledge of HACCP Internal audit training qualification Previous experience of working with BRC Global Standard for Food Safety Computer literate - especially Microsoft Word and Excel Experience of team leadership and confident in training others.
