Skills · Minimum of 5 years release experience or 3 years release experience with additional software development experience · Demonstrable experience of release management in a Software Delivery environment · Knowledge of Jenkins, Codestream, Maven, Ansible/Chef preferred, but not essential as long as other stacks have been used · Experience with JIRA · Experience of hands on software development is preferable · We develop in Python, Oracle PLSQ, Java, MySQL, MSSQL, JS and deploy on both on-premise and cloud solutions The Role You will have responsibility for ensuring projects and code changes are released to production using different distribution methods and mechanisms. This includes scheduling, coordinating and the deployment of releases across the enterprise, of multiple applications in a mission critical environment.The releases will be inclusive of application updates, security improvements, projects and programmes. You will be responsible for implementing and managing release code through development, test and production environments. Working collaboratively across European locations supporting developers and testers as they setup their build, dev & test environments. Responsibilities: · Self-starter who can work in an unsupervised environment · Manage risks and resolve issues that affect the release, scope, schedule and quality · Work with dev & app teams to review code merges and understand impact of code changes · Manage relationships and co-ordinate work between different teams at different locations · Communicate regular release details and schedules to the business · Continuously work towards making improvements to the release process, tools & technology · Develop scripts and automations used to build, integrate and deploy software releases securely · Research new technologies or methodologies which improve release management There are many excellent benefits to be gained from working for this truly international business, and here are just a few more Pension Private medical insurance Denplan Season ticket loan Life assurance (4 x salary) This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89688602
