Overview
Surely you're bored of working on outdated equipment? Maybe you've been asked to bodge a repair for the last time and it's just too much? And I bet you're tired of working in a dirty environment. Just because that's maintenance engineer so far, doesn't mean that's the way it has to be. I'm representing a business who have launched a state of the art, new facility. They manufatcure and supply parts into the automotive industry, so it's a 24/7 operation, and you'll be working on a rotating 3-shift pattern to support the business. They're looking for a maintenance engineer to add value to an already high performing, multi-skilled team. You will work on brand new ABB IRC5 robots, and a range of Siemens S7 controlled equipment. You will perform regular planned maintenance, but also act at short notice to breakdowns, performing both electrical and mechanical repairs at short notice. It's a clean environment, so you won't be breathing in dust or scrubbing your hands for an hour after your shift. You're probably an apprentice trained maintenance engineer with a few years post-qualification experience. Skills and knowledge are important, but it's essential that you're eager to learn and a collaborative person.
