Job Title: Programme Assistant Location: London Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 per annum plus company benefits Job Type: Full Time, Permanent They are a national membership organisation dedicated to helping its members stay prepared in a changing world. The majority of their members are small and medium-sized businesses. They has established itself as the voice of the tech industry in UK and is the 'go-to' organisation for industry players, government, regulators and influencers and other stakeholders in the digital economy. In 2020 they will undertake a major relaunch and rebranding exercise to position themselves and their members as the essential organisation for the UK to become the digital nation of significance and a globally successful tech enabled economy. They want to own the story and set the pace of UK's transformation to a high skill value country in the next decade. Purpose Their Central Government, Health & Social Care and Local Government Programmes represent the supplier community of tech products & services to the public sector. The programmes aim to lead debate on new technologies, optimise use of existing capabilities and provide a forum for the public sector to engage with industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting all three programme teams deliver engaging work streams for the benefit of members and stakeholders. The role reports to the Head of the Central Government Programme. The position requires the ability to work on a large range of activities, from high profile projects to everyday administrative tasks. You can expect to engage with tech companies, and officials from across the central government departments and arms-length bodies. Key Responsibilities: Provide administrative/secretariat support for board and committee meetings Take minutes at meetings and roundtable discussions Write news articles, blogs and newsletters on issues relevant to the programmes Support the successful delivery of their programme events Manage relationships with civil servants and their members. Deal with member requests for information Ad-hoc project management Keep webpages updated Ensure the CRM system is continuously updated through inputting or extracting data Provide administrative support for the vibrant events programme, including regional events, run by the team Ad-hoc diary support and booking travel and accommodation for team members Competencies: Good attention to detail Ability to stay calm under pressure Methodical and thorough approach to work Strong organisational skills Able to manage competing priorities A great team player Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to get to grips with complex information Ability to develop systems to ensure efficient delivery of programmes Knowledge and Experience Essential Proven track record of secretarial and administration experience Experience of minute taking A proven track record of managing events ensuring accuracy and attention to detail Experience of using databases Proven track record of working in a high pressure, fast-paced environment with competing demands and responding to tight deadlines Highly competent with MS Office Suite Desirable Experience of working in the tech sector Project management A demonstrable interest in the public sector This is a full-time role, reporting to the CEO, based at their London offices.
