Overview
This South Lake District practice are currently looking for an experienced Family Solicitor / Legal Executive to fill an opening with a highly regarded local firm in Cumbria. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years PQE in Family law and be able to run a caseload unsupervised. Responsibilities of the Family Solicitor Meet with clients to establish the firm's suitability to provide the necessary advice and services, based on the firm's specialism and likely cost Take a client's instructions Advise a client on the law and legal issues relating to their case Draft documents, letters and contracts tailored to the client's individual needs Negotiate with clients and other professionals to secure agreed objectives Research and analyse documents and case law to ensure the accuracy of advice and procedure Requirements of the Family Solicitor At least 1 years PQE in Family law Experience of dealing with your own advocacy Have gained experience of Divorce, Children Act, Financial Matters as well as Public Care work Private experience is preferred but candidates from either side will be considered. Be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive Compensation for the Family Solicitor The starting annual salary for this position ranges from £30,000.00 - £38,000.00 dependent on experience and including an excellent benefits package You will be representing a purely private paying client base and so prior experience of this will prove essential, however experience of Legal Aid work will not be discounted.
