Overview

Job Description

A professional family based in Putney, London, SW15 with two beautiful children, and a third due in October, are looking for a new long-term Spanish speaking nanny. You must hold a full driving licence to apply for this role. Package Offered * £40,000 - £45,000 gross per year depending on experience. * Use of a shared car for work * £12-£14 gross per hour, depending on experience. Family Background Both parents work full time and the mother is due her third child in October. They live in a beautiful six-bedroom property in Putney. Mum will be taking a year off from work, and may go back to work part time after the year of maternity leave has finished. They have 2 lovely children, a 3.5-year-old and a 21-month-old. The children go to part-time nursery, and the hours will slowly increase as they get older. They have a housekeeper who comes to the property twice a week to do the deep cleaning. The mother is Spanish and the father is British, and they bring up their children in a bi-lingual household, so the Spanish element is very important. The parents work long hours, and their current nanny isn't able to give them the hours and support they need anymore, so they are now looking for a long-term nanny to become a valued member of the family. They have no pets but are possibly going to get a cat soon. The parents are hands-on and like to get involved whenever they can, but due to the fact they both work have limited time during the day. Duties All childcare duties and proxy parenting including working with the parents to establish healthy routines and rules, doing the nursery drop off and pick up, finding activities and taking children to those activities including swimming, music and sport, organising and attending playdates, planning meals, ordering groceries and cooking for the children, doing laundry for the children, playing, walking, entertaining and reading to the children, bath time and (when the parents have to work late) bedtime, taking the children to medical and dental appointments and taking care of them when unwell. The parents want the primary focus on the children and want to ensure that they are happy, healthy and loved. Also keeping all areas of the house the children use tidy and cleaning up after them before the end of each day. You should be willing to lend a hand with the house - you won't be expected to do deep cleaning, but if for example the parents come home early from work and want to put the children to bed, you could help tidy up the kitchen or make the evening meal. You should be comfortable with both sole charge and shared charge as the mother will be at home on maternity leave from October onwards. You should be flexible and just willing to lend an extra pair of hands whenever needed. You should be confident around babies, and also passionate about children's development and learning. Typically when the family go on holiday you'll stay at home to look after the house, but on rare occasions, you may be asked to travel with them. Location/Accommodation The family home is in Putney, SW15. This is a live out role so you should be able to easily commute - and for any overnight/proxy-parenting, your own room will be provided. Days/Hours Mondays to Friday 7:30/8am - 6:30pm. Languages You should speak fluent Spanish, and a good level of English. Special Skills You must have a full driving licence to drive a manual car. You should be flexible and be willing to get fully involved in family life. Interview/Start date ASAP - the family will be respecting the government guidelines on COVID-19 to safely recruit their new long-term nanny. Employment Type: FULL_TIME
