One of our partners, QuantSpark, is recruiting for a Public Relations and Communications Assistant. QuantSpark is an innovative boutique strategic analytics consultancy based in London. Their hybrid team combines the best of strategy consulting, data analytics and product development to deliver creative and impactful solutions to public and private sector clients. They go beyond the remit of traditional strategy consultancies by deploying advanced data analytics and software engineering capabilities to build bespoke tools that deliver long-lasting value - the tools and solutions they create become embedded in their clients' daily operations. Their ever-growing client base consists of FTSE 100 retailers, prestigious Private Equity houses and governments. In this role, you will support with the PR and external communications for their two brands co-located in their central London office (Old Street) - Tech Against Terrorism and QuantSpark. As Public Relations and Communications Assistant, you will support the external communications across both brands including managing social media presence, writing thought pieces and collateral, engaging with the media, and supporting with the creation of newsletters and podcasts. This role is well-suited for early career candidates with a flair for communications and an interest in security, counterterrorism, and technology. Requirements Excellent written and oral communications, preferably with experience of writing for media publication Experience with managing social media activity and developing digital strategy and/or campaigns Strong organisational skills and ability to work on several projects simultaneously with limited supervision Interest in understanding issues regarding using data science and analytics to support decision-making Interest in understanding of policy issues related to Tech Against Terrorism's work, including counterterrorism and technology Responsibilities Help manage Tech Against Terrorism's and QuantSpark's social media activity Support in developing organisational communications strategy (across Tech Against Terrorism and QuantSpark), including social media Ensure that the Tech Against Terrorism and QuantSpark website is up-to-date e.g. latest press releases, events news and project case studies Write copy for external stakeholders, for example blogposts for the Tech Against Terrorism website and other marketing material Outreach to journalists Writing weekly newsletters, press releases, and editing regular thought pieces Benefits Social impact / pro bono data science and development projects 25 days holiday, plus Bank Holidays Pension contribution scheme Cycle to work scheme Possibility of participating in share options scheme after 18 months service
