17666 Public Relations Specialist (Open) Position Type: Full time Location(s): GB.London.OfficeGB.Woking.Office, GB.Woking.Remote Position Details: As an integral part of the CSG marketing team, the PR Specialist is responsible for supporting the execution of the company's public relations program, company award submissions, media list creation and maintenance, media monitoring and reporting, and speakers bureau efforts. This role requires being able to multitask, problem solve, manage multiple timelines and work across functions. A successful candidate will be an exceptional writer who can perform tactical tasks effectively and with minimal supervision, develop collaborative relationships with team members, display effective communication skills and act proactively across all areas of responsibility. Essential Job Functions Responsibility : Media Relations * Identify and enhance company media lists to ensure proper journalists are being targeted with relevant CSG news. * Write and edit PR materials including press releases, media briefing documents, pitches and talking points. * Develop media pitches and conduct proactive outreach to targeted journalists. * Develop and maintain releationships with relevant journalists, stakeholders and organizations * Monitor company and competitor media coverage. * Support the PR Manager to conduct outreach to media during key tradeshows, events and conferences. Thought Leadership * Support the PR Manager with the day-to-day aspects of the company's speaker's bureau. * Work with cross company internal stakeholders at all levels to develop PR opportunities and camapaigns * Work with channel marketing to manage call for speakers submission process and support events strategy with PR * Identify opportunities to promote the company's thought leadership through editorial and bi-lined article opportunities. Awards * Actively seek opportunities for company award submissions in a strategic fashion. * Serve as primary liaison internally for award submissions. * Research, write and submit award nominations on behalf of company working with multiple internal stakeholders. General * Support the content marketing team as needed on related initiatives. * Serve as content marketing support in various cross-functional internal teams. * Interface with the company's PR and brand agencies and other external vendors on an as-needed basis. Education * Bachelor's Degree in PR, Communications, Journalism, English or Business, or the equivalent work experience Experience * 3-5 years of PR and/or corporate communications experience in a B2B corporate or agency environment- experience in both environments would be a huge plus * B2B tech experience a huge advantage * Tech media relations experience a huge advantage * Experience developing and executing media pitches for global audiences. * Demonstrated excellence in writing and storytelling and is proactive in creating conversations and seeking innovative ways to connect with various audiences. * Ability to translate complex ideas into simple, intuitive communications. * Outstanding written, verbal and online marketing communications skills. * Proven track record of success in PR and experience with media management platforms, technology and reporting. * Flexibility and composure under pressure. * Learning on the fly- naturally curious, versatile learner, open to change and knows when to ask for direction. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * An experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways. This job is the fully qualified, career-oriented, journey-level position. * Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. * Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments. * Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise. Influences operational and tactical leadership within functional area to meet customer expectations and deliver on objectives. * Ability to use a personal computer. Proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications. * Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in a business environment.
