Overview
PR Account Director - B2B Tech PR London £40K-£50K (Depending on experience) VR070 As a PR Account Director, you will have ultimate responsibility for team client satisfaction and the growth of the team client base through new business activity. You will effectively manage team activity against client billing and ensure your accounts are run profitably and with minimal overservicing. You will lead client strategy and ensure your team gives 100% in delivering campaigns of the quality expected from the company. You will also be responsible for new business development - supporting other Directors with networking, lead generation and the development of new business proposals and presentations. PR Account Director responsibilities: Being the overall strategic lead on all your accounts - showing excellent industry knowledge and knowledge of the client’s business Ensuring campaign objectives are always set alongside robust measurement to track ROI Upwards management - involving the relevant associate board and/or board director when you feel there is a need The management of ongoing delivery on objectives - ensuring the objectives are reviewed at least bi-annually and revised to always deliver ROI Creating strategic plans and delivering strategic advice to clients and your team. The management and development of annual / 6 monthly plans for all clients Development of industry, media and analyst relationships Identifying, developing and nurturing opportunities for additional projects (both PR and marketing) Drafting client contracts Leading and delivering new business proposals, presentations and pitches, including overseeing team involvement in the research and development of the pitch content Developing, motivating, mentoring and managing your team: leading performance reviews, setting measurable objectives that are beneficial to both the individual and the business, and ensuring training opportunities are identified and budget forecast Participating in board decisions on resourcing and recruitment and communicating and explaining policy and board decisions to your team, feeding back relevant issues as required Supporting the company’s marketing through the development of case studies, press releases, award entries, blog posts etc Skills required B2B tech experience (particularly telecoms). Additional experience in enterprise tech and AI would be desirable. To succeed, you will need to be creative, entrepreneurial, driven by results, and able to recognise and react to new opportunities. You will need to be able to set achievable and realistic objectives and measure review account performance biannually according to these objectives to ensure ROI. You will manage budgets for existing accounts and new business and have an excellent understanding of forecasting and resourcing. You will always look to exceed targets, exhibit a healthy respect for processes, planning and training and you will engender respect from colleagues and clients alike. The position of PR Account Director carries a great deal of responsibility and offers huge potential for the candidate to develop within the role.
