Purpose of job This is a full time role, based in Ipswich with occasional out of office events or travel to other office locations. The postholder will be responsible for the production of client-facing newsletters, assisting with PR and internal communication across the firm. Accountabilities Writing and distributing press releases. Ability to pro-actively seek out stories, build relationships with journalists and respond to the news agenda. Responsible for all aspects of the production and distribution process of the firm’s external-facing newsletters, including scheduling, editorial and design. Responsible for the delivery of the firm’s internal communication initiatives. Ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high quality (in line with the firm’s brand and editorial guidelines). Qualifications/Experience Sound copywriting skills and editorial skills for internal and external articles (including press releases). Solid marketing / communications background ideally gained within a professional services environment. Sound digital marketing skills including e-mail marketing, social media platforms, video and website content management. CIM/IDM or equivalent desirable. IT Literate (Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel). Working knowledge of InDesign desirable. Skills Strong analytical, administrative and organisational skill. A high level of attention to detail. Initiative, enthusiasm and creative flair. Effective communicator. Good relationship building skills across marketing and practice area teams. Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
