Overview

Technical and Training Manager Our esteemed client who is based in Stansted is looking for a successful Technical and Training Manager to join their growing team. The Technical and Training Manager will assist the technical and sales functions of our client in all aspects of technical and training support services required to manage, test, promote, specify and sell the full range of door blanks and ancillary products. The role of the Technical and Training Manager will also involve the proactive management and on-going development of the existing product portfolio as well as assisting in the R&D, product launch and training of new product lines. Work with both the Technical and Sales Directors in defining new Customer and market requirements for the enhancement of both existing and new products within a timely manner Support the determination of and manage the technical elements of our client’s products. Supporting product and service compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements for markets serviced by our client i.e. product test, certification and legal requirements. Direct and in-direct provision of product training in line with the company strategy. This will involve facilitating and presenting training courses. It will also involve assisting in the launch of new products and/or delivering key technical updates on topics such as new testing or regulatory requirements. Training will be carried out in both new and existing markets to influencers, customers and employees at all levels in the UK, Europe and ROW Liaising with Technical Director, Technical Support Co-Ordinator and marketing function to ensure that technical specification literature, presentations, CAD details and other supporting hand-outs, are current and suitable for sales and training purposes Assists sales personnel on a day to day basis, for direct contact with existing and new customers, for proactive product technical knowledge. In addition, for alternative technical solutions to meet requirements. Serve as a proactive technical mentor to our client’s employees at all levels, when requested to do so Maintaining knowledge of current product supply and demand, changing market trends, economic indicators and competitor’s activities and reporting back on the same Preserve individual professional and technical knowledge, by reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks etc. Sustaining a proactive aptitude towards continuously improving perceived levels of customer satisfaction by participating in the analysis of the root cause of problems/complaints and determining effective and sustainable solutions Maintaining good lines of communication with other members of management and recognition of over-lapping problems, ADDITIONAL DUTIES: Ensuring efficient and effective operational and process procedures are maintained for BS EN ISO 9001, 14001, FSC and PEFC Chain of Custody certification requirements.
