Overview

An amazing, well paid opportunity has come up from my client who is a well-established charity. They are currently seeking a Bid Writer to join their great team of people. Based in the 5 Towns area of Wakefield with free parking. The Package: Salary: £30,000 to £36,000 per annum. The Role You will be responsible for planning, writing, editing, proof reading and collation of all supporting documentation for the tender and bid submission process. Work efficiently and effectively with operational and management teams to ensure new and existing business opportunities are maximised to support the business plan and growth targets. Review all tender requirements and present scoping documents to support decision making. Implement and manage project plans to ensure effective management of all tender and bid submissions. Write, edit and proof read the information for tender submission for all business areas. Manage and write the library of information used to support future tenders. Maintain constructive links with operational heads to regularly review market trends within operating areas. Research new information from industry resources, the internet, trade subscriptions, relevant research and reports, internal documents and service users. Attend and participate in provider presentations when required. Review incoming tenders and identify key information to be completed for each tender. Populate all sections of each tender, ensuring that the documentation is written and presented to the highest possible standard. Co-ordinate and manage tender submission process. Manage and Write a Library of Information for Proposition Development: Maintain and develop the information library for the effective proposition development. Work with other departments across the Organisation to develop sections of information for inclusion into future bids such as key areas of strength; which should include – case studies, outcomes consolidation, employee proposition, marking approaches etc. Ensure that the information is continuously updated to ensure that the Organisation’s areas of expertise and innovation are promoted. Research New Information from Industry Resources: Research key locality features in relation to each tender specification e.g existing services, local labour market, issues and barriers for disabled people, community networks and identify any other information necessary for each tender. Research and source competitive tenders and analyse strengths and weaknesses of competitor documentation The Candidate You must have proven experience within a bid writing role within social care sector, but also communication skills when it comes to Bid writing. Must be able to drive and have their own transport as you may be asked to travel when required. The role is fast paced, and changes a lot, therefore must be comfortable with change and ambitious to work alone or as part of a team. Able to build brilliant relationships, which in turn will help to implement new ideas for the team.
