Overview

The Global Product Manager for Aseptic Technologies is responsible for the development and execution of the product strategy, roadmap and business goals for filtration consumables critical to the manufacture of pharmaceuticals, biotech drugs and advanced therapies/ gene therapies. You will be responsible for engaging with Pall customers on microbial removal from bioprocess fluids in both preparative, drug substance and drug product feeds, translating customer challenges and business needs into problem statements that drive the development of new or improved products with strong value proposition. In support of both new and legacy products in a well-established business, the role requires leadership and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams to produce business plans, execute on product development, perform marketing, customer research and voice of customer, drive product commercialization/ go-to market activities, and complete life cycle management and rationalization projects along with providing support for, operations and quality initiatives. MAIN DUTIES: Create and maintain the business portfolio plan. Provide oversight of product strategy. Involved through all stages of a product lifecycle. Operational involvement. JOB SPECIFIC TASKS: Create and maintain the business portfolio plan. Provide oversight of product strategy Define and size market segments. Lead the product portfolio roadmap that contribute the revenue and market share growth, margin expansion and productivity gains for the organization. Describe market requirements in order to create and position a product. Analyze market problems, product solutions and how customers gain value from business offerings (duality of the product/market pair). Seek new market opportunities for portfolio innovation, new product features, value proposition to drive the new product development tollgate process and product launch. Monitor and incorporate industry innovations. Collaborate with Key opinion leaders and strategic partners. Analyze the competitive landscape. Conduct win/loss and Voice of the Customer analysis. Conduct technology assessment. Define user personas for individual products. Position the product for all markets and buyer types. Product marketing promotion strategy. Involved through all stages of a product family’s lifecycle Maintain a portfolio status dashboard. Analyze product profitability and sales success. Pricing strategy. Rationalization. Scale-down and business development tools. Operational involvement Consult QA in case of significant quality issues. Draw insights from a variety of quality and quantitative data points. Support manufacturing in capacity planning and product shortage. Understand manufacturing issues, quality constraints. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related life sciences subject area. MBA preferred. Proven combined experience in practical bioprocess applications, marketing, product management or sales in the biopharmaceutical industry. Knowledge of chromatography and bioprocessing. Market knowledge in monoclonal antibody manufacturing and gene therapy.
