OUR CLIENT We have an exciting new role for an Insolvency Litigator at Sr Associate/ Partner Level to join a well established boutique London law firm. Our client operates an agile working scheme, which offers their employees flexibility in terms of where, and how, they work. Their Cloud-based system means that you can work on your smart phone or tablet, anywhere in the world. THE ROLE Our client is looking to recruit an insolvency litigator from 6-8 years PQE to join and help develop their very successful and friendly Restructuring and Insolvency team in London. As a key member of the team, the post-holder will be expected to lead a busy unit with responsibility for supervising other fee earners, managing a contentious workload advising on both strategic and legal matters. The team advises well known turnaround and insolvency practitioners, company directors, shareholders and other stakeholders on strategies for recovery and turnaround. Further, the team also investigate causes of company failure and pursue claims against those responsible. Our client acts for all major insolvency firms and also act for creditors, government departments and directors. Over the last decade our client has built an increasing reputation for their contentious practice, having been instructed on a number of high-profile assignments. This area of practice has been earmarked for significant growth in the next 12 months which is reflected in their marketing budget. THE CANDIDATE The successful candidate will ideally have gained experience in an established Central London or highly established regional practice. Candidates must be technically excellent but, equally important, commercially aware and enthusiastic about business development. You will be a team player with a strong client focussed approach. You will also have a good academic background and excellent communication and organisational skills. Our client is looking for a candidate with broad contentious insolvency experience (with an emphasis on investigation and directors' duties and advisory experience). The ability to relate well to professional, experienced clients is also required. A willingness to undertake some advocacy work is also desirable, but not essential. You will be given early responsibility and opportunities to develop client relationships.
