Opportunity for incredible talent development in return for passion and hard work. We are looking for a talented Senior Associate Director for our Quantitative Communications practice. In essence, we are looking for someone to provide senior project leadership and help the Government deliver some of the world’s most ambitious social marketing behaviour change programmes. Our team conducts a wide range of high-profile evaluations of Government and third sector communications for behaviour change. Our research work spans campaigns on physical activity and nutrition; employment; cancer screening; breastfeeding; alcohol and binge drinking; youth risk prevention; business growth and export; road safety; teacher recruitment; etc. Think high-profile work for Public Health England, Department for Transport, Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, and others. We mix traditional methods with cutting edge innovation to provide bespoke solutions for our clients. Our work frequently wins industry and Government awards. Who are we looking for? The successful candidate will need to be confident in leading large-scale campaign evaluations, in handling multiple demands and working to tight deadlines, and in working with client and other agency teams to ensure the successful delivery of these programmes. And we want you to lead by example, helping us to continue to grow a fantastic junior team. There’s no one ‘right person’ this job – but it’s more likely that you’ll enjoy us and we’ll love you if you: ·Have high-level quantitative skills: you know your way around great method and survey design and high-quality delivery ·Have strong experience in Government social marketing and behaviour change communications ·Are ambitious – wanting to be great at what you do – and excited by learning curves and being challenged ·Have proven project development and leadership experience – with a strong and active contribution to shaping and leading research ·Are willing to get out and talk about what you know – contributing to our profile in the behaviour change community ·Are confident speaking to high-level decision makers, and eager to continue to develop client management expertise ·Are interested in – or ideally, have a track record of – developing trusted advisor relationships with long term clients ·Care about quality and ‘getting it right’ – leading by example and taking pride in doing great work ·Have excellent verbal and written communication skills – preparing deliverables that are engaging, authoritative and insightful ·Are interested in innovation and creative thinking ·Are a real team player – interested in working with and leading others to do great things, keen to have a laugh and enjoy your colleagues, and experienced in supporting and developing junior staff ·Thrive on variety – adaptable and positive in the face of change What will you do? No two days will ever be the same – but fundamentally the role will involve: ·Contributing to and/or leading project design ·Team leadership for projects of all sizes ·Client management and stakeholder liaison – with Government and third sector clients, but also partner agencies (PR, digital, advertising, media…) – providing advice and consultancy ·Overseeing efficient, profitable, high-quality project delivery – meeting deadlines, delivering to budget, and maintaining quality and rigour ·Supporting effective resourcing and capacity management in the junior team ·Contributing to/leading proposals and pitches ·Leading/contributing toreporting and presentations for varied senior audiences ·Working with our colleagues in the qualitative team to design and deliver innovative mixed-method, bespoke research solutions ·Line management of at least one report ·Contribution to decision making and strategy in the senior team ·Making tea for your workmates (so do the Unit Head and Directors, so get involved…) A bit more about who we are and how we work Kantar Public is one of the leading social research agencies in the UK. We have around 80 specialist social researchers working together to provide knowledge, evidence and insight that helps Government, the private sector and the Third Sector plan and care for society. We do a range of work including the biggest of big public surveys; bespoke quant and qual insight pieces to support Government policy; large-scale deliberative research; attitude tracking and polling; and communications development and evaluation. Our dedicated quantitative communications team works on a wide range of high-profile Government campaigns, pioneering the latest techniques and methods in order to meet the ever developing needs of UK policy makers.
