The Role As Head of Marketing you will be responsible for the growth and optimisation of our paid marketing activities. This will include design, planning and building of campaigns across all channels, ensuring continuous optimisation, providing top-level strategic direction, including data analysis, running tests and identifying opportunities to improve and scale performance and innovate. Responsibilities of the Head of Marketing: Manage all paid marketing activities including strategy, planning, design, tracking, targeting, reporting, analysis and optimisation to deliver enquiry volume, cost/revenue and contribution targets are met Work with the Insight team to develop a data-driven to drive superior performance and decision-making Drive continuous improvements across key metrics throughout the department Drive continuous optimisation to minimize wastage of ad spent Identify opportunities to improve and scale performance via a mix of new techniques and efficiency programs Work with the development and product teams to help with any A/B tests where appropriate Scope, test and deploy new direct and indirect acquisition channels for the business Partner closely with sales and product to drive enquiries volume and conversion rates Team Management Build and lead TLA's marketing and creative teams, identifying skill gaps that could restrict growth and development, and putting in place steps to build a best-in-class function Management of department according to budgeted resources plan include budget, resourcing, structure, HR support and line management Ensure team is kept up to date with last technology trends and best practices by being a champion of continuous learning Communication Masterfully communicate up/down/across the organization to ensure transparency, alignment, and advocacy of marketing strategies and plans Cultivate strong collaborative relationships across departments to maximize efficiency and innovation Share industry news, trends and best practices Take complex ideas and turn them into a simple narrative that engages audiences at every level both internally and externally Requirements of the Head of Marketing: Extensive paid media experience of at least 5-7 years and a proven track record of running ROI-positive paid marketing campaigns (search, display, social, etc.) Educated to a degree level in marketing, business or similar, or numerical based degree Expertise in all aspects of Google search activity, with experience driving positive ROI Expertise in social advertising, specifically Facebook Ads Expertise in additional channels (Snapchat, LinkedIn etc.) desirable Google Analytics expertise Budget management - experience in managing six-figure monthly budgets Experience in managing, challenging and developing a high-performance team Knowledge of conversion paths and how they work as part of a PPC/performance strategy Advanced Excel skills About TLA: Established in 2002, TLA is an award-winning digital media business, acclaimed for its innovative technology in The Sunday Times Tech Track 100, Deloitte Tech Fast 50, FT1000 and Northern Tech 100.
