Responsibilities As the Lead User Experience Researcher, you will be responsible for leading a team of 3 Researchers, executing new research processes and owning the overarching research strategy. Ultimately, you will deliver high quality, impactful research that will help teams understand and empathise with our customers, influence product goals, and support ongoing optimisation. You will help Kingfisher Digital deliver excellent, innovative, user-centered services across all Kingfisher subsidiary companies, including B&Q, Castorama France, Brico France, Castorama Poland and Brico Romania. Manage and mentor a team of 3 Researchers Execute and refine new Research and GDPR processes and best practices, and introduce new research methods and tools into the organisation Own the overarching research strategy, including building stakeholder relationships, developing a research roadmap, and ensuring appropriate approaches are used Evangelise Research and its role in developing user-centred products and services. Champion and defend the voice of the user. Manage (and support your team to manage) end to end research projects, including defining objectives and hypotheses, defining appropriate methodologies, setting up and leading fieldwork, synthesising outputs, sharing insights in impactful ways, and working collaboratively with product teams to bring learnings into the development process Ensure compelling outputs and artefacts based on research- e.g. personas/archetypes, customer journey maps, behavioural models, video edits, etc Work across the wider Kingfisher Group to synthesise knowledge and build coherency between research capabilities. Integrate insights from various sources to create a holistic customer view (e.g. market research, analytics, broader trends, etc) Qualifications Extensive research experience across a wide range of generative and evaluative, qualitative and quantitative methodologies (e.g. ethnography, concept testing, usability testing (in lab & remote), guerilla testing, card sorting, diary studies, surveys, etc) Experience managing a team, and developing effective research processes A natural curiosity and passion for understanding people, their motivations, their behaviours, and the challenges they face. Skilled in uncovering unarticulated user needs and connecting those to business goals. Proficient in translating observations into digestible, valuable, actionable insights for design team and stakeholders. A strong storyteller and presented, with experience influencing business decisions based on user needs. Experience working collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary agile delivery team Stakeholder management
