Job Description

ROLE PROFILE As our Management Accountant, you will be taking ownership of the day to day finance function and month-end reporting while working closely with the Financial Controller to deliver analysis and strategic insight for Rehab. This role will require a hands-on approach. You'll be working closely with the Senior Management and Production teams as well as other departments as required. This role would suit someone who is an excellent networker, a clear communicator, highly process driven, with great attention to detail, a passion for people, creativity, tech, and finance. And someone who is ambitious and wants to grow within the role. Paprika experience is essential for this role. This role reports into the Financial Controller but occasionally involves interacting with supporting the Finance Director, as well as other members of the Senior Management Team. RESPONSIBILITIES The key responsibilities of the Management Accountant are as follows: * Preparation and review of Prepayments and Accruals. * Preparing and reconciling the department view of the management accounts. * Ensuring all costs are captured correctly, analysing and explaining variances. * Running and preparing weekly payment runs. * Add value to the finance systems and processes by improving efficiencies and implementing process improvements. * Assisting with numerous ad hoc projects and analysis for the various departments. * Develop a detailed understanding of the revenues and costs of the business. * Assist in the preparation of client profitability reporting. * Provide guidance and support to Accounts and Production teams to ensure adherence to internal controls. * Job maintenance on Paprika. * Manage all aspects of Accounts Payable - supplier invoices, expense claims, credit cards. * Manage all aspects of Accounts Receivable - set up new clients, enter estimates given on billing instructions, raise and send invoices to clients, maintain sales daybook and revenue tracker. * Credit control - chase upcoming invoices due for payment and any overdue invoices. Provide a statement of accounts to clients (ad hoc). * Upload sales invoices to the relevant portals. * Setup new starters in Paprika and provide basic staff training, updating timesheets manuals (ad hoc). * Ensure all time is checked and processed into Paprika. * Updating daily cash flow. * Updating the freelance tracker for staff spend analysis. * Create new Workbook templates (used by Project Managers to track and estimate) and support the teams with correct use across projects. * Process payments and receipts into Paprika for all currency accounts. * Monthly bank reconciliations of all our bank accounts (GBP/EUR/USD). * Prepare and process weekly payment runs as well as ad hoc currency payments. * Maintain subscriptions list. * Monthly pension, wages control and PAYE account reconciliations. * Prepare VAT Returns. * Preparation of P11D information. * Collate and review R&D Information for submission to a third party company. * Prepare monthly utilisation analysis to be shared with the Senior Management Team. * Post and reconcile monthly revenue to revenue tracker and sales day book. * Maintain, update and post journals for the company fixed assets schedule at month-end. * Create new monthly management packs. * Complete monthly TB check and compile notable expenditure report. * Contribute to month-end pack commentary to be distributed to the board. * Attend weekly finance meetings and monthly operations meetings. * Support the Financial Controller/Finance Director with ad hoc finance projects. Requirements WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR * Someone who truly lives the company values which are: Brave, Collaborative, Innovative and Inquisitive. * 2+ years experience as a Management Accountant, part or newly qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA). * Paprika software experience is essential. * Proven experience of preparing and analysing management accounts. * A proactive self-starter. * Excellent Excel or Google Sheet skills with strong experience in analysis. * Strong communicator who can build relationships to positively influence others. * A logical and structured approach to work. * Previous experience within a creative or media agency or a similar business. * Previous experience working closely with Production and Accounts teams. * Understands the fast-paced nature of the creative and tech industries, and is able to embrace constant change with a calm and agile approach. * Professional, reliable and punctual. * Excellent time management with the ability to prioritise effectively. * Familiar with Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
