Overview

Our client is a partitions manufacturer. They are looking to employ a Partitions Sales Manager to develop strategic relationships and generate sales in London. Job Summary: The Partitions Sales Manager will be responsible for: Drive sales of product portfolio, including partitions and bespoke architectural metalwork. Target A&D industry, main contractors and D&B firms, communicating and influencing at all levels, from junior designers to directors. Maximise company profit. Identify valuable emerging markets. Accurately forecast orders and pipeline to ensure correct resourcing in other teams, and forming sales plans to adapt to constant shifts in the marketplace. Serve as a business representative at major industry events, conferences, trade shows, and expositions. Foresee and avoid stagnation in the marketplace; forming sales strategies to keep the company competitive and innovative. Provide CPD presentations and product awareness to customers as required. Accurately review information from clients, including technical drawings and floor plans, to fully understand specification and request quotations from Sales Support. Checking quotations received and ensuring complete accuracy before issue to a client. Manage all pre-contract elements of a project, including but not limited to: client meetings, design changes, agreeing contracts and negotiating costs, attending site and conducting surveys as required. Communicate with the office to carefully manage project challenges in a timely manner. Improve business development and sales processes to provide an outstanding level of service to all customers and accurate information throughout the business. Gaining feedback from customers and across the business to implement positive changes. Lead marketing campaigns and events as required. Engaging with the preparation of the sales and marketing material, reviewing success and driving improvements. Negotiate contracts and payment terms with clients that meet the requirements of the company’s cashflow. Lead the preparation of tender responses at the standards required by traditional contracts. Ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate, with good records of the process. Support other teams around the business as required to deliver projects successfully. Contribute to wider business strategy and planning efforts through regular cross-department meetings. A thorough understanding at all times of the available resource within the Sales Team and forward planning to mitigate against lack of resource. Uphold the company ethos and brand values with the utmost care and attention and ensuring all team members operate to the highest standards of customer service. General admin and errands as required within a small business. Allocate appropriate time towards non-project tasks, which are necessary to ensure the smooth running of the company, e.g. Training, Social Events, etc. Close and effective management of the Sales Team to ensure their success. Regular trips to the office. Candidate Profile: Min. 5 years in a client facing, target driven sales role with the ability to analyse clients and develop strategies by which to increase sales with them. Min. 2 years in the construction / A&D industry with demonstrable connectivity within key UK organisations. Min. 2 years exposure to traditional building contracts. Proven ability to successfully lead people and manage their success. Competent with sales data and company financials. Self learner, if you don’t know the answer, you will find it yourself. Willingness to fulfil the front-line sales role entirely until such a time that more resources are deemed to be necessary. Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal. Motivated and adaptable, willing to assist with all company challenges. Ability to work in a busy and varied environment with exposure to high pressure projects. Aptitude for lateral thinking and dealing with last minute changes. Conscientious, taking pride in work and achievements. Competent in Microsoft Office skills particularly Excel, but also Outlook, Word and PowerPoint Desirable but not essential: Understanding of architectural metalwork design. Any experience using CAD programmes. Package: Basic Salary: £45,000 On Target Commission: £25,000 Travel and business expenses
