Leading the marketing team and strategy, this is a high profile role with the objective to increase visibility and brand recognition to strengthen and expand the organisations client base. Day to day responsibilities: Creation and implementation of Marketing Strategy and plan(s) to support and drive the overall business strategy. Prepares and manages public relations activities and communications, including press releases, other announcements, media materials, and coordination with any outside PR consultants. Designs (or contracts with and provides oversight to outside vendors to design) print and online advertising and negotiates media buys and associated contracts. Designs (or contracts with and provides oversight to outside vendors to design), updates, and maintains online and print marketing and business development materials, including partner and employee profiles, practice descriptions, brochures, and electronic newsletters. Designs artwork and selects products for promotional use at tradeshows, presentations, etc. Manages the web site via a content management system, social networking and its employees (LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.), and other electronic communications, including drafting and updating content and images, evaluating effectiveness, drafting and implementing policies, and working with outside technical and design consultants as needed Oversees the organisation of the business development/client services functions, events, and opportunities, receptions, conferences, seminars, and other special sponsored events. Identifies, evaluates, and makes recommendations for participation in sponsorships, conferences, tradeshows, speaking and writing opportunities, and similar events. Coordinates activities (RSVPs, promotional products, advertising, presentation slides, etc.) as needed. Promotes speaking engagements as appropriate. Working with the Business Development Manager develop a marketing/business development plan, defining target clients, measuring success and growth. Working with the Business Development Manager in the training of colleagues to enable them to utilise the CRM system effectively. Maintaining the CRM system to enable accurate and effective reporting. Working with the Business Development Manager to increase internal engagement with marketing and BD function and how it works with the business. The experience you will need: A demonstrable track record in leading a marketing function, including strategy development and planning. Previous experience in an end-to-end marketing campaign management role with strong knowledge of marketing principles A strong sense of commerciality Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to work collaboratively and cross functionally Experience of developing a brand, including evolution and application of brand identity and guidelines Experience of delivering creative and innovative communications, both online and offline Experience building excellent relationships with stakeholders, agencies and cross-functional teams Strong analytical and project management skills Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement A good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Adobe Acrobat Pro, and website content management systems (e.g. WordPress). Familiar with SEO and Google Analytics including ability to set goals, interpret metrics, and implement projects that will improve online performance and visibility. Excellent written communication skills to write effectively for public relations and other purposes and to prepare written materials to support and to follow-up marketing opportunities for the firm and for individual partners.
