Procurement Lead - FTSE250 Defence and Engineering Partnership Based in Bristol If you're looking to lead a best in class procurement function into the future, with a Defence partnership that overlooks some of the world's most exciting projects then please send an up to date CV to: Oliver Grose at JobsOGbramwithconsulting.co.uk As the Procurement Lead for one of the most innovative Defence firms in the country you will have the opportunity to overlook all Procurement functions and sourcing activities for upcoming Defence contracts. As the Procurement Lead you will be part of the Defence Leadership team and negotiate with C-suite stakeholders to ensure that your procurement function remains a leading example for other departments and contracts in the business. Your role as the Procurement Lead will involve: Designing a range of strategic sourcing strategies for Defence projects, you will act as the lead expert and take responsibility for owning and driving these strategies. Effectively negotiate with the most senior stakeholders in the business, ensuring your vision for your devised procurement function is executed and your influence is felt across this high value partnership. Drive innovation by enhancing systems and processes and standardize these across the procurement function to achieve a best in class procurement function. You will have knowledge and skills in the following: Extensive knowledge in managing procurement functions and supply chains in a Defence related industry and will understand the restrictions that are placed on suppliers working in this space. Confidence and gravitas to lead negotiations with senior stakeholders and external suppliers to increase innovation and contribute to the development of some of the country's most innovative Defence projects. A background in large scale MOD or similar Defence or Military based projects. MCIPS Qualified. Degree education in Engineering or Business related subjects.
