Locum Commercial Contracts/Procurement Solicitor - South West - £40 per hour Chadwick Nott is currently handling the recruitment of a Locum Commercial Contracts/Procurement Solicitor on behalf of a local authority based in a large city in the South West which is easily reached from across the UK with convenient transportation links. This is an enviable, heavyweight position, offered on a 3 months interim basis with potential for extension and pay rates starting from £40 per hour (umbrella company rate) depending on experience (inside IR35). The successful applicant will also be offered the option of homeworking for a day or two per week after an initial bedding-in period. Duties and responsibilities will include: Handling a caseload of commercial contracts matters to include company law work Ensuring adherence to all local authority processes, statutory duties and requirements for OJEU processes and procurement for a variety of areas Dealing with renewable energy contracts and setting up agreements and liaising with other local authorities Handling high value contracts up to £100 million as well as dealing with the Council wide Asset Management contracts Providing general commercial contracts and procurement & state aid advice Assisting with the council's plans to tackle climate change and implementing the contractual agreements surrounding this Representing the best interests of the local authority whilst ensuring a high level of statutory compliance including EU Regulations Dealing with due diligence and data protection requirements as set out under GDPR Monitoring contracts and reviewing compliance & service agreements Chadwick Nott Ltd is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
