Overview
These roles focus on working in partnership with the community to identify outcomes and then to work with third parties and the community itself to design and commission services to best meet the needs of the citizens and communities in Sutton. These roles are accountable for the outcomes but jointly with partners and often with little direct operational control. In order to achieve outcomes, these roles are required to work collaboratively with others, the most common example being commissioning staff that will monitor local partner activity in order to ensure the delivery of high quality results. ? Ability to build effective relationships across teams and organisations, influence and gain support for sustainability objectives, and take a flexible approach to new ideas and working practices. ? Illustrate good use of a range of verbal and written communication skills for a variety of audiences including interpreting and analysing data from a variety of sources, report writing, briefs and presentations with creative use of communication techniques appropriate for different audiences. ? Ability to manage conflicting priorities, handle a busy workload and meet challenging deadlines with minimal supervision. ? An interest in environmental issues. ? Experience of assisting in the development and delivery of successful environmental sustainability projects and initiatives (desirable). ? Up to date knowledge on environmental sustainability issues and policies relevant to Sutton (desirable). ? Experience of developing and working with multi-agency partnerships (desirable). ?
