Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join a well-established, family run SME based in Hurstpierpoint. As a talented Business Development Manager, you will be required to increase GP & Sales by developing the Company's existing customer base and converting new target customers, from both provided leads and self-created opportunities. This is a National role where you will be out on the road around 3-4 times pw and the ideal candidate will live within a 30 mile radius of Heathrow. Key responsibilities and duties of this role... * Communicate with, and visit both, new prospects and existing customers to generate growth * Work with Sales Manager on each prospect/customer to ensure conversion target is achieved * Work with Sales Manager to collate target lists for business development calls * Ensure all your area customers are contacted in an agreed regular and appropriate manner * Collate 'detailed' appointment feedback for Sales Manager * Collate all data required for follow up/quotations to be sent to customer * Ensure all follow up promises made to customers are fulfilled on time * Complete weekly report for Sales Manager detailing all required data * Provide competitor insights and customer feedback to Sales Manager Requirements The ideal candidate will have the following, skills, attributes and qualifications... * Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities * Experience with tools / workwear / Janitorials / PPE industry is desirable, however not essential * Sales experience with proven track record in a field based role * Excellent organizational and leadership abilities * Strong business acumen with a strategic orientation * Excellent problem-solving abilities Hours: Normal working hours are flexible between 6.00 and 17.00 Monday to Friday.
