Junior Business Development Manager | Specialist Training & Consultancy Services, Altham, Accrington | £23,000 - £30,000 | Permanent Reporting to the Centre Manager in Altham (Near Accrington), we are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to help us expand our clientele through upselling existing services and attracting new logo business. You will be the main customer facing representative of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy that maximises the growth of the share of wallet in each of our customers. A competitive salary, starting at £23k, rising after probation and on your 1st anniversary, combined with an uncapped bonus structure, means you can carve a great financial reward for yourself from a combination of existing customers and new business. All you need is the drive to speak to and engage with customers using sales and marketing techniques. The Company Established in 1999, Specialist Training provides regulatory based training to the Transport, Warehousing and Dangerous Goods industries with an aim of providing a one-stop training solution to all our customers. Whilst our head office is located in Altham, we also have training bases in Warrington and Wakefield. We do however provide National coverage for Blue Chip clients as we deliver training at their premises. As experts in our field we provide a consultative approach to all our customers’ needs to ensure their business is compliant, in a manner which is supporting and friendly. Responsibilities Develop a growth strategy focused both on cross sell and up sell of existing client base Create pipeline for new logo business Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs Arrange business meetings with prospective clients Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc. Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers Requirements Minimum 12 months experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role Proven sales track record at hitting sales targets and KPIs Experience or background in the Transport sector a plus Experience in customer support is a plus Experience in use of Social Media (LinkedIn) to drive sales campaigns Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software Proficiency in English Market knowledge of Training and Transport sectors Communication and negotiation skills Ability to build rapport Time management and planning skills BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field How to apply On clicking apply you may be prompted to login or register with the website where you have seen this vacancy.
