Overview
We're looking for a candidate to this position in an exciting company. Lead and mentor the Fixed Income and/or BRST software development teams. Provide overall site oversight and be the go-to person for the entire global markets group business. Collaborate with development teams and product management on the design and development of new and existing software products. Discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to improve development and system efficiency Mentor and encourage team members to utilize effective design techniques for maintainability, testability, scalability, performance, security, etc. Quickly understand system architecture and become involved in design and development, taking ownership of assigned modules to drive projects to completion. Validate developed solutions to ensure that requirements are met, and the results meet the business needs. Establish and maintain Continuous Deployment methodologies including working with SQA teams to enforce unit and automated testing. Develop required tools to automate the management of all facets of data operations. Experience working in and/or migrating products to cloud technologies, especially AWS OO programming including Object Oriented Design Patterns and have strong opinions on best programming practices. Emphasize testability though Mocking Frameworks, TDD, BDD. Well versed with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools and techniques. Experience in Agile SCRUM project management methodologies. Prefer to work in a nimble and dynamic environment with strong emphasis on ownership and responsibility. Ability and passion to pick up new technologies and stay on the leading edge of full-stack development. Ability to evaluate and recommend tools/technologies/solution based on research and study supported by proof of concept Ability to translate requirements to working, robust and scalable software. Strong organization and prioritization skills along with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
