Benefits of joining us: - An attractive and competitive salary - Excellent benefits scheme - Generous holidays - Free onsite parking About the role: As our Product Manager , you will support the Merchandising Manager to realise the merchandising strategy and determines the assortment selection and plans for the assigned product group. You will also optimise the selling of products and services at Office Depot for the assigned product group for all channels and all countries in scope. Key duties and responsibilities of our Product Manager: - Contributes to developing the strategy for the assigned category - Recommends and executes the agreed tactical plans and budgets for the assigned product group. Identifies and outlines the products to be featured in touch points, develops and implements promotional and pricing plans in order to promote products and services, in line with the agreed commercial business strategies (category, price, promotion, placement) - Determines and realizes the optimal category assortment, determines the product selection and portfolio for different customer groups, in alignment with the product life cycle. Identify and select new customer groups and sub categories aligned with the ‘go-to-market’ strategy and in coordination with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Procurement - Reviews and evaluates product performance, measuring progress across all KPI’s, taking insight and making commercial decisions and actions that drives touch point, product and category performance in a timely manner - Recommends price positioning and alignment across product assortments and countries, understanding the competitor position and the potential impact within the market - Develops promotional plans to maintain, recover or improve performance, identifying opportunities to offer a competitive advantage to customers - Ensures the assigned category is merchandised across all touch points in an optimised, compelling way to secure customer demand - Partners with Procurement, Supply Chain, Item Operations, BI and Content Development which makes up the matrix “Category Team“, working together to ensure the assigned category meets customer needs effectively and efficiently Skills and experience required to be our Product Manager: - Academic degree with 2-4 years of relevant experience in category management, merchandising or sales in B2B or B2C retail, distance selling or contract based business - Knowledge of products and the office products industry essentially packaging and mailing is a distinct advantage - Strong customer focus and customer awareness - Has organizational agility, is result driven and able to motivate others - Planning and priority setting skills, able to work under pressure - Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment and to travel internationally - Fluent knowledge of English, spoken and written. Other language skills (Dutch, German) would be a distinct advantage - Packaging and mailing experience would be an advantage Want to join our team?
